Location: Atlanticview Cape Town 5 STAR Guest Villa , Francolin
Rd Camps Bay
Date: Wed 8th Dec 2004
2 very Important visitors made the guests go wild on wed evening
the 8th Dec when owners Greg Boki and Rainer Pires of Atlanticview
Guest Villa in Camps Bay sprung two young cheetahs on them for a
private petting session.
Atlanticview in co-operation with the Cheetah Outreach program
located at Spier in Stellenbosch arranged for this very special
visit. This is a program that Greg, Rainer + Atlanticview management have
supported for several years. These two cheetahs were orphaned at
the age of 2 weeks when their mother was killed in the bush. They
are now 6 months old. They are set free back into the wild when they
are at approx 12 months of age plus and deemed fit to get back into
their natural habitat.
The visit was carefully monitored by three game rangers from the
program who are familiar with the cubs. Guests were overawed at
the two visitors presence. They playfully sat on the sofa whilst
guests gave them a pet and took photographs. Greg said, it was an
honor to touch and pet them no less have them as a guest in our
home. We feel very privileged. The Cubs were very well behaved and
have a big purr!
